Found in the tropical rainforests of far north Queensland, Cassowaries move quietly through dense forest, feeding on fallen fruits and helping spread the seeds of many rainforest plants, playing a vital role in maintaining the health of these ecosystems.
Despite their impressive size, Cassowaries are generally shy and elusive, often disappearing silently into the rainforest long before they are seen.
Cassowaries symbolise strength, guardianship and balance, reflecting their important role as protectors of the rainforest environments they inhabit.
